Make sure you Hotsync it with your computer everyday. It is dies on you, you can always put the information and programs back on the palm for the computer. It's that easy. So just remeber to Hotsync!

BTW: I don't believe there are any viruses that can affect the Palm hardware so don't worry about that.

Hello Jack,

The short answer is, Yes. You can recover the PDA programs from your PC Palm OS.

With the continuing spread of viruses via email many media sources are encouraging PDA users to be vigilant about virus protection on PDAs. Recently I installed a virus checking program on my Visor Prism called F-Secure Anti-Virus v2.0. You can download a free 30-day evaluation copy at:

http://www.F-Secure.com

Then run the program periodically to check your PDA for any viruses. So far, I am not aware of any viruses spread via PDAs.

WARNING: (1)A common way that viruses/worms are spread in PC's is through email. Be sure to check your emails with an Anti-Virus checker before downloading the emails to your PDA.
(2) Be sure that when you are receiving any beamed programs or files, make sure that they come from a reputable source. There is a free 'hack' available that will disable your PDA's beam receiving ability unless you turn it on. See: http://www.freewarepalm.com

Remember: You need a 'hack' master program to run any hack. A few examples are:
* HackMaster
* X-Master
* TealMaster
* EV Plug Set

Never used 'hacks' on your PDA? No problem. They are little 'plug-ins' that create different actions that the OS was not written to do. Nothing malicious or damaging, just more flexibility to use you PDA in some cases.

Want more info on 'hacks' for your PDA?
Go to: http://www.dseifert.com/hacks/
or http://www.pdamd.com/vertical/tutorials/hacks.xml

Hope that these ideas assist you.

Any more questions, please email me.

Jonathan

P.S. BTW- I have used a Visor Prism for the last 3 years.
