I have this HTC Touch HD that was originally on Orange, now been unlocked to Vodafone. All working fine, but I notice there's a new ROM version available from HTC. Unfortunately it's not available to any OEM handsets, HTC just say that I need to contact the mobile operator to get the upgrade. Of course Orange know nothing about it, and Vodafone don't have any information on it, as they don't supply the phone. I'm guessing that HTC's argument is that the original ROM may be modified by Orange or whoever and so the upgrade is not applicable. Has anyone come across this situation before & is there a way around it? The ROM has fixes for generic things like the Touch-Flo & GPRS & there's nothing 'Orange' about the phone any longer.
