FONES.CA and many other sites are scamming you.
If you want to unlock your phone for free and get the same files for free. Go to mytreo.net

Here you can find all of the files you need for free, all of the same text on how to do it for free. And a whole community to answer your questions for free.

I did it, it works. And you don't have to spend anything more than your time.

THERE IS NO FACTORY UNLOCK CODE, unless you get it from your carrier. Read the palmone.com website. You can not damage your phone by performing this upgrade. You can damage your phone by entering false unlock codes that eventually force you to go back to the origianl carrier and plead for mercy. And I bet money they will make you buy a new phone.
