Dose any one know where i can find emulators and a rom for palm os?

You can find them in the Palm Developers Site, www.palmos.com/dev
The emulator is free and available to everybody. The ROM images are available by signing an NDA with Palm. If you are a developer in the US, you can register and have access to the inmediatly. If you are not in the US, you have to print, sign and mail (regular, not e-mail or fax allowed) the NDA and then wait up to 2-3 weeks to have access to the roms. Or you can simply make a ROM image of a Palm Device with a utility bundled with the Emulator.

would an emulator actually llow me to run on my large desktop screen my palm programs which now only run my handheld??

Not exactly. The emulator looks just like a
Palm device on your screen, and you can
run Palm programs within it. But you
cannot run the programs outside the
emulator environment.
