MyPDA will not connect to my computer via the USB cable. Error message is "The connection between your handheld computer and desktop could not be established. Please check your setup and try again." I've tried everything except for hard reset on my handheld. If anybody has any ideas please help. What kind of PDA are you using? If it's a PPC: disconnect your PDA and re-install ActiveSync. After installation, connect your PDA. Make sure it's on. If it's a Palm: disconnect it too and re-install Hotsync. After installation, connect your PDA. Make sure it's on. May seem weird but connecting it to an other USB port might help too. Prefibly one directly into your motherboard, no (pci) hub. Last thing you can try is to check the connection setting. Make sure it's set to USB and not COMx or something like that. If its a Dell, it's probably an Axim. You may just have a configuration setting incorrect in either your PDA or in Active Sync. Also at least check your Device Manager to insure your PDA is being detected when its pluged in and turned on. www.monkonline.tk

ive got a treo 600 and that comes up on mine. you have to unplug it from the usb and plug it back in again. ____________________ just helping

this might seem strange but I had the same problem with my clie not syncing but once I opened the Palm for desktop and then told the clie to hotsync/locally, voila it works for me everytime.

i just had the same problem i think. i couldn't get it to establish a connection with the desktop. i have a mac so maybe yours will be a bit different but - i went into hotsync app in my palm folder then opened it...so hotsync software setup then hotsync controls then under hotsync, select enable (mine was on disabled?) below that there is hotsync options click on enable at startup. and it worked again.
