I received a new computer with XP for Christmas as well as a Sharp OZ-800, but I can't get the two to talk to each other. When I installed the Sharp software, I asked it to find the connection port using AutoDetect and it wasn't found. I then tried specifying COM1 and that didn't work either. I have spent several hours on the phone with Sharp technical service and they have determined that everything is set up correctly and I have verified that the serial port works, but still can't make the connection.
Anyone else have similar problems? Any suggestions? I'm afraid I'm missing something simple.
