Clie lockout resets 2

I was using "After delay" system lockout on my Sony NR70V. Recently I set it to "on power off" and it appears to be a mix of two... I.e. after timeout it asks password twice. I tried to delete 'psys' files with both saved and unsaved prefs. After reinstalling the password and setting it to "after delay" and restarting it resets back to "on power off". All software that could have affected it has been deleted, but the problem remains.
