Does anyone know if it's possible to change the language on my French Palm 111c to English? Seems Palm.com only have upgrades and patches, not the full 3.5.3 OS for download. Appreciate any help or further direction.

i'm not sure, but i believe 3.5 is a full OS. and then after you install that, you can use the 3.5.3 update on it. again, i'm not sure, so wait and see if anyone else answers it...

hi, it seems when you visit palm.com they tell you that you can't have the hotsync manager and the os in different languages. so it kind of sounds like it would not work, and you must use the original language of the hotsync manager (i.e. french).... but i'm not sure. you need to check it out. i think you may need to get the full english rom from an english palm vx and then flash that onto the french one. That is, cloning it onto yours. But not sure. I'm trying to figure it out for japanese to english. tell me what you find out, thanks, c

Thanks everyone. I actually thought I succeeded in downloading the English version of OS 3.5 but the PDA would not start up again. All types of resets were useless. Seemed to be turning on but black screen. I contacted Palm Canada and they advised me to send it back. I did, and requested if they could put on English OS on it when fixing it. They sent me a new Englsih unit within 3 days! I have to say I was impressed with the telephone service from the 2 reps and results from Palm!
