HI,
I have since yesterday a brand new car, so happy. But everybody elso i know with a new car, has a navigation system in his/her car built. Maby you know what i mean, a cool screen in the desboard and a cd player for the navigation cd, and stuff like that.
I also want that! :)
But how? I don't want to built all kind of screens in my car. So i was thinking of a PDA and some GPS stuff. I am looking for a good and stable system that is afordable, so not that expencive as the built-in car navigation systems.
I hope somebody can help me, thanks.

yes in-car-navigation at an affordable price is sort of coming into the mass market. All you need is a PDA ( not all work with GPS ) a GPS reciever and GPS software installed on your PDA.
For example IPAQ are big on GPS but make sure that the PDA can use a GPS reciever and software. Good GPS software can be found at www.tomtom.com. Here will give you all the information about what PDAs you can use TomTom on.
Also check out

This should show you IPAQs current PDA range. You should be able to match up which PDAs TomTom works with.
They are one of the leading companies and the software is GOOD. However the software is not that cheap yet. Try searching for the equipment and software on ebay.co.uk there are lots there.
Hope this helps. anymore questions just post !
