I have a HP brio model 8378 with built-in video card (S3 Trio 2 Mb). When I try to start my computer with another video card( a SR9 AGP SDRAM NLX 8 MB) the computer just beeps a few times and then nothing happens. Is it because of the built-in video card? Can it be disabled?

Okie, heres some stuff you should check out,
1) Make sure that you'r monitor is plugged into the new Video card. PCI/AGP
2) Make sure its properly in, screwed in nicly, not loose and that it clicked when you pushed it in.
3) Right click on the dekstop, Properties, then Settings, you cant really disbale the card, unless you have 2.
4) Check the website for updated drives so you can install your new card without using the outdated cd/disk.
5) I suggest you get a 32MB at least, 8MB isnt much and wont support much game's.
Post back and tell me how it went.
