Okay.. here is the situation:
Purchased an HP ipaq rx3115 and used to have WiFi internet working all fine with my home network. Then, I added some program (God knows what) that made the PDA not get an ip address from the router I have. I could manually type in a static ip and do it that way, but when I travel this is cumbersome and would like to have DHCP doing the job. When I take my "broken" PDA to my school it picks up a good IP and works fine. How do I fix the problem at home?
Okay, before you respond, I have tried the following already: 1) made sure the router was sensing the PDA's signal and it is. I have MAC filtering for all my WiFi equipment because I don't want to make a security key. 2) have reset, hard and soft for my PDA 3) reset my router multiple of times and set it to have the default values.. which still picks up my PDA but won't give it an IP address - most likely my ROUTER because I can get a dynamic IP address at school.

What about your desktop pc? Have you checked the services on it to make sure it is not broadcasting DHCP? Also, think about switching over to Stealth Mode (Non-broadcast SSID) instead of MAC filtering. MAC filtering can be cummbersome and if it is just you, then do away with it.
