Calendar Synch

On My IPAQ 210, I have appointments in the calendar. If I dismiss acknowledge the appointment after being alerted to it on my IPAQ, and then synch the IPAQ to the computer, the PC will still show that same calendar alert. If I acknowledge an appointment on the IPQ, should'nt it also acknowledge it on the PC also?
