I want to transfer programs that I have on my Sony Clie Peg-SJ22 running Palm Os 4.1 on to a 64MB Memory Stick. I can't understand how to transfer them and then view them, because every time I use MS Gate to transfer, I can never acces the programs or view the pictures. The programs do not appear on the "Card" view neither the "All" view after I transfer them. However they do take up space on the card. All I want is to move programs onto the card and be able to access them without them having to be on my Clie. Please Help! Manuals say absolutly nothing on this issue.
MSGate can be used to transfer the programs from internal memory to card storage but this is a bit tedious. There is an easier way. While viewing your listing of programs on the main group screen (Shows time and battery status at top of screen and icons/program listing below) tap the "Time" at the top left or hit the "down arrow" on the touch control to access the "APP OPTIONS" menu. Then hit APP and hit Copy. This will let you copy programs with their data from card to internal, or vice versa. This automatically puts them in the appropriate directory on the data card and the unit expects them to be there or it will not see them. This is probably what happened when u copied with MS-Gate. On my Sony Clie` the Card's application directory, which must be specified if you want to use the MSGate method, is /PALM/PROGRAMS/MSFILES. Hope this helps.
