Test the latest BDicty and get a free English thesaurus on your expansion card! Beiks, LLC is proud to announce the Public Beta version of possibly the most popular PalmOSŪ dictionary BDicty! BEIKS, LLC In response to the huge demand during the past few weeks we release this Public Beta version of the Public BDicty 4.6 and enclose our English Thesaurus of 55,000 words with it. All other currently available BDicty lexicons will also be accessible and operational. We would greatly appreciate any and all feedback regarding this beta and expect to be able to release the final version in the first days of June 2001. We are mostly looking for malfunction reports and compatibility issues. New feature requests will not be reviewed before the official release of this version. If you want to help us build a better product, please email your comments to bdicty@beiks.com. As per our tradition, all current BEIKS customers will get the final updated version free of charge. More about BDicty v.4.6: The new release is fully compliant with the latest PalmOS 4.0 and takes advantage of its support for external media cards. Thanks to these new expansion cards, BDicty users will no longer have to take precious memory on their devices. Just for the record, for the owners of the popular BDicty Linguist Bundle with 18 languages this could save more than 15 MB of RAM memory! For more information, refer to the README file. All devices running PalmOS 4.0 (such as Palm m500, Palm m505, HandEra 330 and others) will be able to take advantage of the new BDicty features. Some Sony devices may also be able to use these features regardless of the fact that they are using PalmOS 3.5. We haven't tested that yet. We believe this downloadable copy is stable and appropriate for the wide audience, but it still has to be taken as what it actually is - a Public Beta. Install it at your own risk. Current users of the Commercial version should avoid installing the Public Beta unless they want to sacrifice the extra functionality of the older Commercial version. They should wait for the official BDicty v.4.6 release or they may also contact us for a test copy of the Commercial version. We may not be able to reply to all requests.
