banner on the screen

I have palm tungsten E and all the sudden a banner appeared at the bottom of the screen. I cannot see all icons on the screen, at the bottom has like a banner that covers the screen, it's about a 1/4" inch wide across the bottom. Everything seems to work ok but I cannot see what is under this little banner. I already hard reset but did not work. Any help will be appreciated

Thanks for helping but you sent me a link that shows a pocket pc and I dont see any banner on it.The banner I am talking about is a shade the covers the bottom of the screen and cannot see what is underneath of it.

Ok what does the banner look like? Are you a tech savvy person? If you are get ariscanner mobile antivirus and run the scanner... failing that look in the process manager for anything out of the ordinary.

Thank you for your help the banner is a blue shade .It's 3/8 inch ( 9.6 cm) width across on the bottom of the screen covering the screen.I am not a savvy tech. Thanks again.
