ActiveSync Problem

Sounds like I've got more trouble ahead of me then - but I cant even sort the first part out! I just bought a iPAQ 3950. But each time I try to download ActiveSync, it downloads onto the PC ok but then the program won't run. Whenever I open the program I get the "illegal operation" message and I can't get any further. I've tried downloading ActiveSync 3.5 AND 3.6 and I get the same problem with both. Why does this happen? Did anyone else have this problem? How can I sort it out?

I would recomend Upgradinhg to Windows Xp This would solve the illgal ops

If you are on Windows NT or 2000, it may be that you do not have administrator privileges to install software. Try logging on as Administrator, then re-install the software

I too have had that problem but I have Windows XP. It would download the program just fine but when I tried to run it, it just would not open. I've tried moving it to the C: drive, my documents, off a floppy disk but it doesn't open. My computer used to have Windows 2000 but it got upgraded. Even though I am logged on as administrator, it just won't open. Any suggestions?
