An earlier message had the exact same problem, but the solution didn't work for me. ActiveSync 3.5 won't install properly and gives me the following error:

WCESMGR caused a general protection fault
in module VGA.DRV at 0001:00002a91.

An earlier message had the same problem, but the suggested solution--changing the hardware acceleration setting in the "display" control panel to "none" didn't work. I have an iPAQ h1910 but can't get it to sync.

Please let me know of other ideas.

ok first of all, when you try to install, make sure all programs not needed are shut down, virus programs etc. Ctrl Alt Del and shut down all programs except systray and explorer......then try the install. Might even want to go into control panel prior to this and make sure all current installs have been deleted....
then do a fresh reboot after the program loads....hope this helps
