i have a compaq iPAQ H3600, i would like to connect it to my machine wich is running windows 2000,which is a 1.8GHz P4 with 512Mb of RAM. i have the serial connection cable. Apon installation of microsoft activesync, the computer will not recognise the serial device. i have aslo had the same trouble with a very similar machine running NT 4.0. both of the machines that have posed these problems have been connected to an office network. When trying to connect an error message appears on the screen of the PDA which says that there is a problem with the carrier and to check that the cable is connected. However, the PDA does recognise the computer as it tries to connect when requested.......... any help would be greatly appreciated!
