ipaq and active sync.i am trying to set up an ipaq 3850 with the down loads in the starter packs. initially iwas connected with active sync, but now cant raise the connection. I have reconnected the cable to the usb port, checked all connections, restarted the computer with the pda out of cradle initially as directed. no luck.using xp and following their directions.suggestions/

try hitting the help button on the connection wizard. it will take you to the most helpful web site. it has any and every possible thing that could be wrong with you setup. try it.

Hi there. I had a problem similar to what you're experiencing under Windows 2000. Windows detects a USB device, but is unable to install the correct drivers, even after uninstalling and reinstalling the ActiveSync software as recommended.
Try poking your stylus in the little hole on the bottom of your iPaq and then sitting it on the cradle again. Doing this soft reset solved the problem for me!
