I'm interested in getting one of those color WinCE PDA's but unfortunately I never had one before and I don't have much knowledge about them. I was wondering if I could network the PDA and my home PC wirelessly? Also I would like to get wireless internet that way too, I would probably need some proxy software or something. How do you guys do it, and what hardware is necessary for the PDA network? Also what is the max distance the PDA could be from the main PC, the one it would be networked too. And finally, do the PDA's come with Internet Explorer already inside or do you have to buy it seperately?

Who' there horsie!
Right. What type of Windows CE PDA, H/PC or Pocket PC?
You can network Windows CE onto a Microsoft driven Network over TCP/IP.
You can do it au' wireless as well.
The max distance depends on the device, the structure of the building that you are in and the power requirments of the device
Theres Bluetooth (very unusual at the moment) and IEE802.11
802 has the longer range and is more expencive
All Pocket PC's and H/PC come with Pocket IE installed. Microsoft older Palm PC's do not, but they are not made any more
For more information, as it depends on what device you are looking for info for.
If your looking for info on the H/PC, then goto the microsoft hpc news group:
http://groups.google.com/groups?hl=en&safe=off&group=microsoft.public.handheldpc
and I'll see you there
or if Pocket PC, then:
http://groups.google.com/groups?hl=en&safe=off&group=microsoft.public.pocketpc
or if you have a news client
microsoft.public.handheldpc
or
microsoft.public.pocketpc
