i have a 2gb kingston sd card that i used on my ipaq and it worked fine for a while. then i wanted to erase eveything on it and when i put it in the ipaq it read 2GB but then i put it in my desktop compters card reader to erase everything it said that it needed formatting. so press ok and when it finished it only read 856mb. i tried it in my pocket pc(ipaq) and it also read as 856MB. i tried a couple of formatting programs but they did not work. any body know how to fix the problem so that it would be read as 2gb again?

Ok, I've the same problem (but with 990MB) I've tried several utilities to reformat my card and others to fix its capacity. No one worked so far. I've tried with qtparted, gparted, parted, fdisk and mkfs.vfat with no success either.
My only small progress was to use the app introduced in this forum ( http://forum.brighthand.com/showthr... ) but I've the same problem: real capacity still being 1GB. So, could you please tell me how did you fix this in detail?
