Is the goal to have different synchs for each PDA or to synch the same datebook and addressbook for both?

Because if the goal is different synchs, the palm desktop software that came with the Visor allows you to create multiple accounts that identify the PDA by a username and only install or synch that which is identified by the username.

If the goal is to have the same datebook and addressbook... try saving both of them and manually telling the palm desktop software to synch /that/ file rather than the one it might otherwise use.

Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.

My goal is to be able to put my Visor in the hot sync crade, hit the button and it sync a sharted address book & date book while syncing a "personnal" everything else. If I want to fill my visor with games I can without filling up her Zire.

I don't want to just through any other hoops each time we hot sync.

I'm using Palm Desktop 3.0.

Here's another way to put my question.

I want to be able to select HotSync --> Custom.
Then double click "Address Book."
Then have the option to select "Sync only with ______". Right now I have 4 options;
1) Synchronize the files
2) Desktop overwrites handheld
3) Handheld overwrites desktop
4) Do nothing.

do i need some 3rd party software? That seems a little excessive. I like the palm desktop address book.

Palm.com Tech says the Palm Address book doesn't support what I want to do. I'll have to find a 3rd party app.

Dear Tod,

Thank you very much for your inquiry.

I understand that you need to share the same Address Book between two
Palm(TM) handhelds.

Tod, we do not support sharing of the same Address Book between two
Palm(TM) handhelds. However, there might be third-party applications
designed for the Palm OSŪ on the Internet that could provide you this
feature. You can search and download some of these applications by
visiting the following web site:

Note: We do not recommend such applications for your Palm handheld, as
they may cause malfunctioning of your Palm handheld.
