2 Palm Portable Keyboard problems

I recently got the full-size fold-up portable keyboard for my Palm m105. I installed the software, hooked it up and everything seemed to be fine. Now... 1st problem-When I'm typing a memo, as soon as I reach the end of the first line, the text won't wrap and it starts beeping at me and won't let me type anymore. Hitting the 'Enter' button like on an old electric typewriter doesn't move to the next line. What's up? 2nd problem-now, whenever I try to type anything, every letter comes out as some weird symbol and not a letter. Any clues? Thanks...
