Comment:
i was damn thinking i was the only one having problems with my nvidia tnt2 m64 i had to compromise cuz it was all i had left after buying an exxaggeratedly-priced 1.6ghz p4 but it's blazing fast so i love it anyways. i tried installing xp prof on my upgraded system but on the last part of installation just about when the computer restarts and just before user account setup/activation begins, the monitor just switches off and you can't see anything but you know it's still live cuz you can hear windows. i'm not sure if i really hafta mention just about everything but i heard of incompatibility stuff from leo laporte and the stuff you put in you least expect it to cause incompatibility might be the one so here it is anyways:
1.6ghz s478 p4 asus p4s333 mobo (sis645 chipset, onboard sis 7012 audio, 128mb pc-266 ddr sdram, generic, GenericSoftK56 Data Fax Voice Speakerphone, cyberdrive 40x, likom 15" genius easymouse (serial), ps/2 key-bored, and my standard amplified analog speakers
i got my xp working by using my old s3 trio 3d/2x 362 4mb sgram during installation and when windows is up and running, i turn the system off and replace the video card. xp eventually recognized my tnt2 m64 and worked normally, and i even got battle realms (v1.10j) running with the tnt2 m64 driver out of the windows xp box. when i installed the detonator xp driver (which, by the way, claims to improve your nvidia card's perf by up to 60%, if my memory serves me right), yes, max payne still worked, but when i tried playing battle realms 1.10j the same thing happenned: the monitor goes off, you can still hear things but there's no picture. i tried turning the monitor's power button off and then back on, but still i can't see anything. now can anyone help us out? i'll be sending this same letter to leo laporte of the screensavers and when i get a reply i'll tell you all.
I have a Nvidia TNT2 M64 32MB and I have to unplug my usb dsl modem and turn off my onboard 5.1 suround sound card just to make it work right so i cant play games online and i cant hear anything.

hi, i am also having problems with a tnt2 m64 card. It gives an annoying flicker and experimenting with the refresh rate setting seems to make no difference. It's running in a Dell L880r Pentium III 800 Mhz with 192 MB Ram and windoze 98. I have the newest drivers cos the ones that came with it had problems with opengl. Help please!!
