Web Explorer installation in Warp 3

Comment:
Installed the Red Spine Warp 3 and upgraded with PPP.ZIP, which gives me PPP 2.0 (I think). Works fine. Got Web Explorer 1.1h (webexv11h.exe), but it won't install -- shows a popup window for just a second, but that's it. Apparently, 1.1h requires PPP 3.0 or APAR fix PN 71501, and possibly a previous version of Web Explorer. I've been all over IBM's sites (and Hobbes) and can't find a direct reference to PPP 3.0 or APR 71501. Could somebody instruct me on how to proceed?

Unsure how to fix your problem but you may find an OS2 version of Netscape 3 that will work with Warp 3.

Alan, it looks like your TCP/IP configuration is incomplete. Some programs are quite partial about the etc directory (usually \mptn\etc) where they keep their configuration data. Check out your environment variables: either type: SET ETC at an OS2 command prompt and see if the system returns a valid path or look through your config.sys file for a string like SET ETC=C:\MPTN\ETC
