Does the mouse function when you boot to some other operating system? The reason I ask is to determine if it is a hardware problem or software problem. Is it a serial mouse or PS/2 mouse or USB mouse? What brand of mouse? Is it just a simple 2 or 3 button mouse? Or a mouse with lots of other functions? Can you switch it with some other mouse and see if it works?

Sorry, i should have said. The mouse is a ps2 Logitech Trackman, and works fine in other OS's.

I'm pretty sure that you will have to obtain and use specific LOGITECH mouse drivers. Have you been to the IBM OS/2 Device Driver Pak online and looked for LOGITECH mouse drivers?
