Comment: I have warp 4 running on a Compaq deskpro 5133, The screen resolution was only at 640x480x16 and this was the only option inthe system setup. I tried to install the videocards drivers from their website (matrox.com) however when I rebooted it it hangs at loading screen001.sys. I have tried pressing ALT F1 at bootup but to no avail. I think i need to create some utility disks but since the machine is frozen I am not able to. Can anyone help? Is there anywhere I can get Utility disks from just to reboot my machine. Or is there anything else that can be done.

Reply: (edit)If you cannot get to the recovery options using Alt-F1 then .... Utility disks will only boot you to the command line and then you have access to fdisk, format, etc. but you can do all that if you boot from the installation disks then hit F3. If you cannot even get to the recovery screen, then I think you may have to re-install. On an equally unhappy note, my experiences running OS/2 on Compaq hardware have never been good. TimK

Reply: (edit)I have put the hard disk in another machine that is running warp 4 and can access the disk drive as a slave. I went in and changed the config.sys to the ones before the driver was installed, and also the same for the autoexec.bat. this did nothing to help when I put it back in the compaq. I then changed the screen01.sys to an old one, this got me past the point where it was hanging, but it would still not get al the way to loading the desktop, any other ideas? Anyone?
