OS: WFWG 3.11
CPU/Ram: 66MHz/8MB
Model/Manufacturer: Toshiba Satellite T2130CS

Hello everyone!

Okay, I have a 500MB hard drive. One half has WFWG 3.11, the other is free. I want to install OS/2 on this partition, but I want to know which version.

I have copies of Warp 3 Blue (or was it Red? whatever the one without networking was) and Warp 4. I don't think I'll ever be wanting Internet on this laptop (no ethernet card, plus it'll be slow as heck), so that's not a problem.

So, which version will be faster? I'll be using this for harsh polishing of my programming skills, and also learning more about the OS (it crashes on Virtual PC).

Thanks!

(P.S, it should be noted that the only file listed on DriverGuide for my laptop's model is something related to OS/2. Maybe the lappy was designed for this OS?)

If I connect my microwave to my PC, will I be able to download food? I posted a question, haha

Uh, nevermind... Neither is supported on the laptop. :/

Sorry for the noise!

Seems like it could work with W3.

You need to create a small active partition for boot manager, if the OS is to be installed in other than the active primary partition. Both of these would work on fairly limited hardware (eg 486 with 16 MB ram).

I think you are being over generous to the DOS windows stuff. My recollections of Warp 4 is that 350 MB partition is the order of the day. If there is not a lot of memory, stick with FAT16. If you have a lot of memory (>16M), you can go with HPFS.

The dream you dream alone is only a dream,
The dream we dream together is reality.
