I wish to set up my network-capable printer thru my SMC Barricade 7004VBR router. I currently print thru my Warp/Ecom PC via the LPT1 port, but I don't want to have to turn this machine on If I just want to print from my NT machine. I understand that I will need to configure the printer section of the TCPIP module to activate one of : LPDMON, LPD, or similar program(s), and that I will probably need to print through a PIPE port. However, my attempts so far have been unsuccessful. The online help I've received always refers to a router wth a built-in printer server port (LPT), but mine does not have one--just the conventional networking jacks.
Any and all "hand holding" through the procedures would be greatly appreciated.
