I have OS/2 2.1 HPFS on one partition with WIN-0s/2 installed. I have win31 programs and files that I need to use. How would I upgrade OS/2 2.1 to Warp and still keep WIN-OS2 support?
I need to upgrade to Warp because a lot of software I want to use requires at least Warp.
Use Warp3 Blue which has WIN-OS/2 also! It's been a long time since I've used Warp3, but I think you should be able to install on top of OS/2 ver2.1 Better back up everything first. Save anything/everything to floppies or whatever. If you can get a hold of an original Microsoft Windows 3.1 you can actually use it also. There are some tricks, etc.

I don't see any reason why you can't install Warp 3 over 2.1. You already have winos2, if you install over it will still be there.

I do not have the boxes to Warp anymore.
How could I tell looking at the diskettes if it is Blue or Red version? All my Warp Diskettes are colored Red.
Summary: For a particular reason (don't ask) I need to reinstall OS/2 Warp 3 (update from 2.1) on a new machine (Swedish versions). The new machine is a Pentium 166, will this pose any problems? Also, because ...
Summary: Yup, there's no difference. OS/2 went from version 2.1 to Warp 3. And since the guy wasn't a tech type, he just probably said version 3 & 4. Of course he was right on that, it is version 3 & 4 of OS/2...
