I am have wanted to find a new OS for a long time.I have every windows from 3.1 to ME ( I wont even look at XP) I have tryd LINUX but I change hardware around weekly and reconfiguring LINUX is a pain, not to mention I dont do comand promnt very well.I also love to play games (rainbow 6,red faction, ect.)And that leaves out several OS's.I have hered that OS/2 is compatible with alot of windows apps and games.I would love to try it out but it donst fall in my pric category of free or realy cheap, and I'm not about to shell out 250$ on OS/2 warp4 and not like it.(please dont even mention E-BAY,I wont purchase or sell with them)I was wondering if there was some sort of trial version avaible. Also any opinions from anyone who has tryed playing gaes like red faction on OS/2. TY for any help.

eCS (E-Com Station) is the latest and greatest version of OS/2. Lots of features, but it probably won't play your games. If you want games, stick with Windows98.

I find it inetersting that MS doesn't have a trial offer of any version of Windows. (shaking his head)

Another thing, is that there is "virutal PC for OS/2". You can run Win X "anything" on OS/2 in emulation mode.

With a 2.0Ghz, running emulation at 900 mhz or slightly higher is fast enough, I think. Who cares you're not at 2.0G, but you don't have to reboot to Windows and you can still run within OS/2.
