Hi
I am trying to install warp 4 on ThinkPad PIII ? series. Its floppy is linked by USB.
It will hang when I only put the OS/2 Installation floppy. I have already visit IBM web site for thinkpad installation. But it shows I only need to update DISK1 and DISK2. How I can do if it failed in the first step? Very appreciate any suggestion.

Warp 4 GA without fixpaks does NOT support USB yet, for that you need to update it with device drivers. I think that you first should install the base device driver for USB on your floppy disks, add the appropriate line in config.sys, and add "SET COMPYFROMFLOPPY = 1" at the end of config.sys. In addition, update IDEDASD also.

Then it should work, I think.

Notice that you need SoftWare Choice Subscription for USB updates... (www.software.ibm.com/os/warp/swchoice)

Warped greetings, JB.

Also, there are some nice reference material on www.os2ezine.com and www.os2voice.org

on how to install with USB floppies.

There is WarpUp! from www.prismdataworks.com that have updated floppies on a gigantic warp update CD.

The cost of the CD is nothing, considering what is on it!
