Ok I am once again installing OS/2 (after 2 years) as i now have a test machine

I created the three boot disks using the cdinst command
but as soon as i put thefirst one in the test machine the machine gets to the floppy disk and comes up with the following error
OS/2 !! sys1475
OS/2 !! sys2027
Now I have googled this error and from what i have found it is a problem that affects installe systems if there is a non-boot floppy in the drive on boot or there is something wrong with the boot sector
However that isn't my problem I haven't even begun installing yet, this is the first boot disk which should start the install

I have tried different floppies and rerun the cdinst command on the floppies, but to no avail

any help would be appreciated

Ok problem solved

In case any one else gets the error
I had to put the last created diskette in first, ie Disk 3 in the set

Thanks

I only ever got that without the correct first disk in the drive. I am getting to go back to my OS/2 roots as well. Lot's of memories there.

Hello,
I hope you has solved the problem.

I understand in your post, you insert the diskettes in the wrong order.
If you problem still, you need the original boot diskettes (they coming apart, not in the CD) or get update dikettes from IBM.

molito.
