Setting up network printer on OS/2

I've given up on solving my network printing problems some time ago when I got too busy with work; now that I have a few minutes, I'll see if I can come up withs some fresh ideas from someone.

I have my eCom (Warp 4.52) PC networked to my NT4 PC thru an SMC Barricade SMC7004VBR router. Works Great! I also have a used Lexmark Optra R laser printer with a networking card installed, but no manual. I run this printer off my OS/2 box and print my NT data through the network using my LPT1 port on the OS/2 machine. What I would like to do is use this printer as a network printer via my router. I understand that I need to configure (activate certain programs) in the TCPIP setup. I've tried a few suggestions but come up blank. I also understand that I need to configure a pipe as a printer port with a unique IP address, etc. One reference I was given came from someone who has an SMC7004BR router, however, that router has a printer port on it, mine does not--only 4 standard NIC adapter ports.

The OS/2 and eCom help files give only "general" instructions on what to activate, but these are not detailed or clear enough. Does anyone have some idea where to go from here? (Other than buying a router with a printer port)

Thanks.

If you have network options installed use the front LCD panel to enter IP address. Use LPD protocol to send jobs. Make sure you have an ethernet card, token ring cards used the same RJ45 connector. You should be able to select a system configuation page to be printed out.
