I have a UPS connected (serially) on my OS/2 machine with serial mouse as well. When my machine boots, the UPS shuts-off. After reboot of the UPS the OS/2 machine boots again which results in shutdown of the UPS.
The UPS communicates well when I temporarally disconnect the cable during OS/2 boot.

Somehow during boot OS/2 checks the serial ports. Can I disable this check somewhere? Or is there another solution?

Please reply by mail...
Many thanks in advance

you clearly have something misconfigured with whatever drives your UPS, refer to UPS driver/software information, this is nothing to do with OS/2 or serial port... we have UPSs on OS/2 boxes, and it just works.
