How do you configure the dac for the seperator
sheet comes from tray 2 and not tray 4. When we
send jobs to the 3165 from the network and
collate the sheets, the stock is the same color as
the job. I checked the dac, but can this be
changed?

No configuration can be made for separators on the DAC. Are you using the driver or are you printing from a host like an AS/400?
There are software enablers like Planet Press that will take a job and customize the data to whatever you want. Like if the first page is the separator, then you would make that page print from tray one on colored stock and process the rest of the job from tray 4. Or, I have made customized the sepration page under NT/2000 to sutomize banners sheets and stuff. But that was strictly Postscript, not PCL.

I just re-read your post. Am I talking about the same thing you are? Or are you talking about the banner pages from LPD?

I am printing from the mac to the dac, but the sep
sheet only comes from tray 4 not tray 2.

Which PPD version ar you using?
