Comment:
I have installed OS/2 Warp 4 and am thouroghly enjoying it. However, I have found I am unable to install the Project Odin win32 emulator or the web browser opera, I simply get a error message. Does anyone know what's going on?

Many thanks.

opera for os/2 no longer needs odin. Odin`s pretty simple to install really. You almost certainly need a fixpak. 14 works best for me, 15 sometimes causes an annoying com port problem, that`s another story.

If you get the wpi version (you need warpin, also from netlabs), then odin more or less installs automatically, just click on it. If you got a zipped build, then just unzip it to a folder of your choice, and add %\odin\system32 to path and libpath, plus a device statement for win32k.sys if you want. Then reboot, open cmd.exe and type odininst to initialise the registry. Odin works even with warp 3, though not as well. Be prepared for a few wps hangs when win32 apps crash, but in general it`s quite impressive.

Just one thougt about Opera. I've tried it several times, also the last build. It's unfortunately not so wellfunctioning as you should hope. It tends to crash, for example when using Flash. I prefer Mozilla which is now very stable and a real goood browser.
