Hi,
I'm trying to install Warp 4 on my PC which already has Win98, Linux & BeOS on it.
After browsing these forums i've persuaded the installer to recognise my CD drive by updating the boot disks with the idedasd bits, and created a partition which it will mark as installable. It then asks me what filesystem I wanna use. I choose HPFS, and it then says it's formatting it, then says it's copying system files. It then halts with an error. INSTALL.LOG says the following:

Installing OS/2 Warp 4
Model = fc

Non-ABIOS machine

No Dual Boot is installed
SYS0003: The system cannot find the path specified.

I'm unsure as to what it can't find though, and what does it mean about Dual Boot? The OS/2 partition totally resides within the first 1024 cylinders, so it should work, right?
In case it helps, the system spec is:
AMD Duron, 900MHz
Seagate 40Gb hard drive (can't remember exact model)
Matsush!ta DVD drive (filter removes the middle of the name otherwise -_-)
GeForce 4 graphics card

Hopefully thats covered everything.
Thanks in advance for any advice or help anyone can offer.

Appears to be an error reading Disk_3. Try cleaning the disk and try again.

Several things to consider:

I am assuming you got no C: currently configured.

How are you going to boot into your OSes?

I would suggest OS/2 Boot Manager.

When you install OS/2, it asks you which drive. go to advanced and then you can modify the partitions like disk druid on Linux. you can add the OS/2 boot manager (I currently have it configured to boot 4 different OSes). You can install Boot manager and the end or beginning of the drive. Takes up about 3-4 mb.

Hi,
To reply to peter, when I install I go into advanced and create a partition form my free space, and set it as bootable, then installable all OK. The partition is totally withing the 1024 cylinder limit. It then asks what filesystem I wanna use, and it then formats it, then I get the following error.
I intend to continue using LILO to boot, as I've currently got it installed into the MBR, and a Linux bootdisk to if necessary get into linux to add OS/2 and re-run LILO.

To reply to Hmmm's suggestion, i'm installing off CD, so does this mean my CD is damaged?
Thanks for the advice guys, it is much appreciated! :-)

I wonder if the Drive letters are getting mucked up... I've had that happened.

Does your system reboot after the files are copied? If so, then your drive letter got changed.

This happened to me on occasion.
