I draw out an old copy of OS2/warp 3 to install it on a PC (AMD 450 MHz) with two IDE hard disks (8.2 Gb and 20 Gb, and running with Windows '98 and Linux. The boot manager is Partition Magic boot manager. I make a partition on the second hard disk with Partition Magic. After the OS2 CD rom starts I get the message that there is enough free space. If I run fdisk/query the partition scheme that comes out makes no sense at all. Can anybody help me? Thank you

are you installing under the 1024 limit? os/2 may not care to install on 1 disk when you have the boot mgr on another. os/2 likes to install its own boot mgr when installing to logical drives or second disks

I'd retain the PQ boot manager indeed. Is it not possible to install OS2 with other boot manager?

OS/2 doesn't recognize the extended partition table entries created by PM (and Linux installation) for disks > 4GB.
I'm having the same trouble and came here for help. I think the disk driver IBM506 (sp?) can be replaced by DANI506 (sp?) to recognize larger drives.
But the nice OS/2 Boot Manager will probably not work - I think I'll go with GAG.
