Does anybody know how to get FDISK to recognize the full 9.1GB of hard drive, so it can be partitioned, when installing OS/2 ver 2.1? We are using an old (as you can tell) version and putting it on a new HD but can seem to get it to see all of the drive.
Thanks

I have the same drive in an PS/2 Model 80.
The first SCSI card I had didn't reconize that it was a 9.1GB harddrive. I had to put the drive in a computer that had a Adaptec PCI card to reconize that it actually was an 9.1GB drive. I then had to put it in a machine that had Warp 4 running because FDISK on any other system would not reconize that large of a drive. Win98 FDISK didn't reconize it either.
I then made the first partition FAT with the max size. I then put it back into a Win98 box and brought up FDISK. It won't reconize the full 9.1GB but I said to use the rest of the drive, other than the FAT partiion, as another partition.
I booted into Win98 and formated the second partition FAT32. It reconized the rest of the drive.
The FAT32 driver for OS/2 reconized it also.
You may want to use HPFS for the second partition, which then you won't need to go through that trouble. But, I wanted to run Win95 on the Model 80 box also.
I put the drive back in the model 80. When it goes through power up, it says that it is a 285mb drive. But when Warp 4 boots it reconizes the entire drive.
But, the key is the SCSI adapter and Warp 4.
