Hi. I dragged an object with about 120 files in it (file list for a CD burn) to Hyperaccess Lite, which tried to fire up 120 times, generated errors, and hung the system. Upon a reboot they all try to start again. Can I:
1) disable automatic restart of previously running programs at reboot, or
2) do some sort of alternate boot and get rid of the programs trying to restart?Any other suggestions are very welcome. As things stand I can't use the machine.
Thanks! - Jerry

Hi Jerry,
To disable programs runnig after startup, edit your config.sys file, find a line looking like :
STARTUP=FOLDERS,PROGRAMS,WARPCENTER (and maybe others... I don't remember if the real line name is STARTUP, but it should seem like this)Delete the "PROGRAM" entry, and then reboot !
Now : how to edit your config.sys without starting the OS/2 presentation manager (and that blocking program) :
At bootup, when you see the os/2 signal in the upper left corner, press ALT-F2, select the OS/2 command prompt option (should be the F3 key), then when you will have the c:\ prompt on your screen, type "tedit config.sys"Edit the file (go to the editor typing the Esc key), change the startup line, press F2 then F3, you will arrive to the c:\ prompt. Then, you will reboot !
Laurent

Add this line to your Warp CONFIG.SYS under the SET AUTOSTART line
SET RESTARTOBJECTS=STARTUPFOLDERSONLY,REBOOTONLY
