I was recently attempting to reinstall this OS to a blank 810 MB hard drive only to find out that floppy disk 12 has gone bad. Is there any way to recover the setup files on this disk with some type of a disk recovery software under DOS, Windows, or even Linux?

Its nice to see some people still want to maintain this superb OS.
When a floppy is gone... nothing you can do about it. I will provide you with the disk image (file extension *.dsk) so that you can create a new floppy.
I assume you know how to create a floppy from an image with the IBM LOADDSKF.exe utility. If not, let me know.
Please specify the version/release of OS/2 that you have and we will take it from there.
There are at least four possible combinations of OS/2 Warp 3.0 that I know exist.
Regular: OS/2 Warp for Windows (Red Spine) and Warp with Winos2 (Blue spine).
Connect: OS/2 Warp for Windows (Red Spine) and Warp with Winos2 (Blue spine).
It is a good idea to make a copy of all the installation disks and save the originals for cases when misfortune befalls.
Regards.

Thanks. Someone recently sent me some images. I'll look into them some time soon to see if they sent me the correct types. So I'll keep you in mind if I need some other images. I have OS/2 Warp 3.0 Blue spine that comes with the modified windows environment. Disks 11, 12 and 13 all have tested bad from inside an incomplete OS/2 install. All the other disks appear to be fine. I'm not familiar with Loaddskf.exe utility but I'm sure it's similar to some other utilities that work under dos such as rawrite. Also I have a couple Linux installations that I can use to put the images on floppy using the dd command. The main thing I'll need to know is what size disks OS/2 uses. Microsoft has some of their floppy setup disks in 1.63 MB format for example which Linux deals with easily. If OS/2 has their disks formated with an odd size then Linux will have no problem with it.
