Hey I tried to make os/2 diskettes to install on my 486 but after disk 2 all the images are 1.79 mb apeice and te program will not write them to disk. I would install it in my celeron but it has a system error each time.
what can i do about the disks. Why did ibm make 1.79 mb disk images on the cd when disks are 1.44mb

Just use the script "cdinst" on the cd.

try using xdfcopy from another os2 computer

cdinst will create 2 diskettes for Warp 3 and 3 diskettes for Wapr 4 and can be used from the dos prompt of Win9x. A word of caution when using Win9x, after the installation disk is created, do not perform a DIR operation otherwise the disk will not boot. I have created OS/2 cd install diskettes numerous times from Win9x.
