Can somebody help me please.
I'm trying to map my IBM PC model 350 running OS/2 Warp 4 to the company server running windows 2000. I cannot seem to connect to the network. On win-OS/2 setup, I've selected Microsoft Network (or 100 % compatible ), installed MSNET.DRV but I still cannot get network connection. Am getting NETWORK SOFTWARE IS NOT RUNNING ERROR EVERYTIME. Is there a special procedure to do this? Am I using an old MSNET.DRV? Am using the MSNET.DRV from the installation CD.
Thanks and Regards,

Jaime

Are you trying to connect to it via Win3.x in OS/2 or OS/2 to it, like mapping network drive or printer?

If it is Win3.x, it is a pain, but you will need CD and change location for the network device selected. I have not used this since '96.

What I use W2K for is network share and printer share. What you need on both OS/2 and W2K is: Netbios over tcpip and netbeui, respectively. W2K admins don't like it, but only way for you to connect. There are no security risks if they have a good firewall. I don't have any issues on my side as I got a good hardware/firewall.
