hello,
I have gotten the cd-rom drivers loaded by adding BASEDEV=IBM1S506.ADD /A:0 /U:1 /ATAPI
BASEDEV=IBMIDECD.FLT /V to config.sys, but cd-rom support on my virtual pc is still not working. It says the drivers have been loaded successfully at startup, but i have no cdrom drive in the 'drives' menu. is there a step i forgot??

I tried many times, but I never got the CD-ROM drive to work with OS/2 v2.1 on Virtual PC (But did on OS/2 Warp 3 using the OS/2 setup program and using the standard ATAPI/IDE type).
Rumor has it that you could use MSCDEX on it, but I tried that and it didn't work.
The drivers above should work as they are the standard type. Do a web search as it may yeild better results.
Good Luck.

Use the cdrom driver from Warp3 in OS/2 2.1, it works and will find the cdrom.

The dream we dream together is reality.
