Hi everybody from Greece. I have the OS/2 ver. 4.00 and I want to install the Lotus Smartsuite ver. 4 for OS/2. The problem is that it needs OS/2 ver. 4 release 1.1. How can I upgrade my version from 0.0 to 1.1??? Please help... Thank you :-)

My understanding is that you need at least Fix Pack 5 for OS/2 to install Lotus...

You can also go to www.google.com and search for "hobbes" and then you will be taken to a very large software repository. You can look for fixpaks there... very hard to do. I bought a CD from mensys or other online vendors that have the fixpaks, since I can now afford to do it. In my college days, I did them all by hand...

You can purchase the last (free, from IBM) fix pack, I think it's FP15 for OS/2 v 4.0, from www.bmtmicro.com. It's about US$15.00 plus shipping. Included with the fixpack is a very nice install package that makes the upgrade a breeze instead of IBM's usual PITA.

You can also upgrade yours os/2v4 to the latest free fixpak directly from IBM site. It is called RSU ( remote service utility ) It is long
