I thought VirtualPC 5.0 had this feature... I read something in the manual about VNC, and I think it might have anything to do with Virtual Network Computing, since the concept is ressemblant. Notice that VirtualPC is a NATIVE OS/2 product, NOT a linux one, or whatever.

There is no VNC server for OS/2. The only thing that comes close is IBM's Desktop on Call for OS/2 which is a commercial product they sell through their website.

It works very much like VNC, only there is no client version. You must use a web browser to connect to it.

On the upside though, it supports multiple user logins along with varied access rights for those users. Access restrictions based on single IP and IP ranges.

I think the price for the current version is around $50-$60, but I may be mistaken.

Personally though, I would love to see an OS/2 port of VNC. When I've run DTOC in the past it always feels buggy, and it frequently crashes the browser after extended use (probably due to the it being a java applet).

I've asked the same thing on the VNC group mailing list. I got the VNC PM client to work just fine in OS/2... would like the server part. I might have to get VirtualPC for other things... or Desktop on Call, who knows.

Well, you can either use NetOp or IBMs own DeskTop On Call. For info and pricing for NetOp check:
