Folks,
I have tried to install the OS/2 on laptop ThinkPad A31 from IBM but when I insert the second disk of installation, the system return the following message:
The system can not access the HD or disk driver. Please, solve the problem and re-initialize the system.
As melf indicated, you may need a replacement for the ibm1s506.add driver on the installation disk.
A source of a replacement is: http://service.software.ibm.com/os2dd/free/idedasd.exe
In the readme file contained therein, you can find instructions for updating the appropriate installation diskette.
For future reference, it may be useful to mention which version of OS/2 is involved, and when the problem relates to a hard drive, mentioning its size may help.
