Comment: I am trying to install OS/2 Version 4.5. I managed to load from the diskette 1, 2 but at diskette 3, error message occur. Have anyone encountered the following error message during OS/2 installation ? Erros MSG:- Installing OS/@ Warp Server for e-Business Model=fc Submodel=1 Response file interface is not being used Non-ABIOS machine Bus Architecture: |0| Disk Type: |0| Error 9 returned from LVM.DLL Appreciate anyone who encountered this feedback.

Reply: (edit)Sounds like the Large Volume Manager (LVM) doesn't like your HD. (I've never received this error though). Make sure your BIOS can see the hard drive correctly. What I would do is boot with the disks, then goto a command prompt [F3]. On Disk #2, there is RMView.EXE. You can see all of your hardware. See if it detects your drive and controller correctly. If not, then look at my posting here called "OS/2 and LBA 40gb drive". Also, there is a readme in the IDEDASD folder on the WSeB boot CD (path is \Drivers\IDEDASD). Make sure you folllow that readme. It helped me a lot.

Reply: (edit)I upgraded my HD to 40 gb and the utility disk woud not work. I using Warp4 FP-15. I replaced the IBM1S5606.ADD and the OS2DASD.DMD with the DANSI drivers by copying DANIS506.ADD TO A:IBM1S506.ADD and DANIDASD.DMD to a:OS2DASD.DMD
