Comment:
Well i got a problem.
I Cant install OS/2 on my new machine. The bootfloppys work's fine until it gets to the cd then im left with a black screen with the cursor blinking at the top the numlock goes out and nothing happens? exept for my floppy it continues to read.
i tried to fix the drivers on the floppy
without succes even replacing them with
drivers that had support for large drives
didnt help :( it traced a message posted somewhere that the problem is located in the ibmkbd.sys and there should be a fix for it but the links dead.
Any help would be appreciated
Thx.
Alan

How long have you waited Alan?

On some installs I've done its sat like that for a while, then continued with the install.

OS2 is pretty finicky about which cdroms it can work with- theres a compatability list included with the install package-I suggest you check to see if your cdrom is on there. If its not compatible that's exactly where the install will stop, and you usually get no messages to tell you why ,it just stops
